In fact, I don't think it will crash on the island at all. This is for two reasons. (1) Lost has already done, and they're not going to "repeat" that situation again, and (2) Lost just doesn't have the time to go into their existence or whereabouts. So I think the tail section will just "disappear" -- really, the O6ers are the ones who disappear, and the tail section is still out in the real world (either crashed or flying to Guam). Either way, I doubt we'll see any of them again.

Erin -- as for Ben killing Penny, it has less to do with getting Desmond back to the island and more to do with vengeance. Remember, Widmore's men "changed the rules" and killed Ben's daughter, Alex, so now he's out to kill Widmore's daughter, Penny. BUT, for the WRITERS of the show (not Ben), this does present a catalyst for Desmond coming back to the island. If Ben kills Penny, Desmond will come after Ben. But again, my thoughts on Ben killing Penny have more to do with his line about doing a favor for a friend. The words "favor" and "friend" are being used sarcastically.dying alonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09916000188842805150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5238751593775333224.post-1164466437036172762009-02-24T18:05:00.000-05:002009-02-24T18:05:00.000-05:00In addition to your thought about the flight numbe...In addition to your thought about the flight number 319 opposed to Oceanic 815, I was thinking it was this: 3 is, visually, half of 8, and 16 is one more than 15. Half plus one. The half who left are returning plus one. I think the plus one is the guy that offered his condolences to Jack at the airport. Because, as you said, Frank was supposed to be on the flight originally. I think it is a kind of course correction, so you could still say that half of the people who left the island are going back, plus one that's never been there. I think we can also guess that Sayid's federal agent will die, if she's there at all, shortly, as Kate's did. But Eloise said they only had to recreate the flight, when they get to the island, all bets are off.

Also, when you said that you thought Ben killed Penny, I didn't quite know what to think. But thinking about how Ben tried to get Aaron taken away from Kate so that she would have nothing to stay for, it makes sense that he would do that to Desmond. Now Desmond has nothing to stay off the island for. And he knows where Faraday's mother is and she will help him get back to the island, because he will need to save his friends.erin.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09976958922339360567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5238751593775333224.post-28721332276041569152009-02-21T13:30:00.000-05:002009-02-21T13:30:00.000-05:00Oh, and all of the characters that LOST is keeping...Oh, and all of the characters that LOST is keeping, are seated in the front of the plane. I bet, the back of the plane is separated, again, and those people are rescued.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5238751593775333224.post-14002664531954853892009-02-21T13:25:00.000-05:002009-02-21T13:25:00.000-05:00About Kate: I KNOW!!!! Is this the only way that her character can reinforce her femininity?

About 316: Definitely a reference to John 3:16. I also thought it was kind of funny that Jack's Dad is now the surrogate for Jacob, the omnipotent spirit of the island, and John, who has to take Jack's Dad/(Jacob's?) place is literally filling his shoes. Oh blatant metaphors.

And the connection between Jack/St. Thomas...Either Jack will become a believer, or he will "perish from the earth."

On the guitar: agreed, Hurley saw Charlie.

On the bloody face: Yes, Ben killed Penny, which is why Desmond is going back to the Island-- VENDETTA. (Maybe Kate had something to do with it, also. Now, both the children are in the care of Widmore, or something to that effect... maybe not...)

On the 06'ers: do you think they all had role reversals? Kate for Claire and she actually gave the baby up (course correction?).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
